John, Michelle & Noah

first of all, i just have to thank John, Michelle & baby Noah for allowing me to come into their home and witness some of their most intimate moments.  Noah was exactly one week old for this shoot OC & one of the most gorgeous newborns i’ve ever seen.

i met Michelle about 6 years ago.  she was roommates with a friend of mine.  i remember being drawn to her immediately…her passion for life and her family.  she is just one of those women that exudes confidence and strength.

i met her husband, John, a little while back but have never spent much time with him.  he ポイントGET!なら、moppy works at the same hospital as i do, so i run into him in the halls every once and a while, or i see him in the cafeteria with Michelle on occasion.  i really enjoyed observing a new dad interact with his baby boy… and he was such a natural!

i felt a little bit nervous the night before the shoot, but Supplements by yesterday morning i felt prepared and more excited than anything else.  granted, i still didn’t eat anything, just in case those butterflies decided to come back…haha.

i spent some time just talking to Michelle while she fed Noah.  then, i walked around the house with Michelle to find areas where the lighting was best.  i started by taking some shots of dad with Noah first, so that mom had time to get ready (can i just say she looked amazing in like less than 10 minutes, by the way).

next, we did the shots of mom with Noah, before moving into the family shots.

the family shots were so much fun because they were so easy going and let me try all kinds of things.

some of the pictures in the bedroom were inspired by a shoot Me Ra did a little while back, so i have to thank her for giving me some inspiration here!

we ended with the breastfeeding shots, and i just have to say, what a beautiful & amazing experience.  i’ve never been given the opportunity to see it this way and was just blown away by what a gift it really is.

please check out the slide show i created for Michelle & John below.  i will also be posting more photos from this session in my gallery.

xoxo
