Shannon

it’s been a long week, but i was determined to at least get one blog post up before it was over!  i have a few things that i’m excited to share with you guys, but i wanted to take a moment tonight to introduce Shannon =)

Shannon was actually one of our Twitter Contest winners a couple of weeks ago, but i had met her before then.  she went to school with my brother, Matt, so i had seen her a couple of times in passing.  however, this was the 1st time that i had ever really spent time with her.  and, can i just say, she’s so frickin’ cool!

i was so excited when she won a free photo shoot because she was the 1st person to start spreading the word when we started the Twitter Contest…and she remained dedicated throughout the entire week!  i so appreciated that, girl, and luckily it paid off!

on the day of the shoot, Shannon shared that she had always wanted to be a model but, like most moms, her mom wasn’t too excited about that idea.  i could totally relate because i wanted to be an actress SO bad when i was younger, but my mom was completely against it!  i know now that it was for my own good, but i just remember being angry and not understanding at the time =)  anyway, Shannon sent me photos of the kind of look she was going for, and i just loved the idea of being able to at least provide her with a “taste” of what it might be like to be a model for a couple of hours.  i know she had her hair and makeup done, too, that day..which is always fun!  doesn’t it look fabulous?!  hair by: Leah Jang and makeup by: Sas Carter

Shannon wanted to do some stuff in Hollywood, so i headed out to LA early on Sunday to do some location scouting. we started in Burbank, then headed to the Lake Hollywood area.  we asked her boyfriend, Nick, to come along.  he was hesitant at first because he didn’t want to make her nervous, but i’m so glad he joined us!  he took a little video of the shoot (click here to view)…here he is taking photos and video at the same time.  so talented…and he fit right in with all of the tourists!

and then we had him jump in for a couple of photos…

so adorable =)

we had so much fun with you guys!  you did great, Shannon, and you looked AMAZING!!  thanks so much!

xoxo
