growing up, i did not have many close friends, but two of the people i could always count on during most of those school years were Tracy and Traci =) as a funny aside, both of them have the same middle name too (“Lynn”), which is also my middle name. Tracy (with a “y”) got married a few years back and now has 2 beautiful kids.
she’s one of those people where it feels like no time has passed whenever you see them again…even though it had been 5 years! sure, she looks a little older and she’s a wife and mom now, but i still see the same girl that i rode the bus to school with everyday while reading the latest R.L. Stine “Fear Street” book. the girl i went to Washington, D.C. with in 8th grade. we played on the school basketball team together and took classes together. and she was the person who used to eat the sinfully delicious fresh baked chocolate chip cookies with me from the cafeteria during our 10am break almost every morning. speaking of, why would they serve kids chocolate chip cookies that early in the morning?! i never understood that.
anyway, she and her husband now live in New Mexico. i don’t see her very often anymore. in fact, that’s how it’s been since i left our school in the 10th grade, unfortunately. but she was recently in town visiting some family and we were able to find some time to do a quick photo shoot. after watching her kids grow up on Facebook (sad, but true), it was so great to finally meet them in person. and it was great to see her again =)
