A Terranea Resort Birthday Celebration {Los Angeles Photographer}

Saturday, April 21st was full of lots of firsts for me…our adventure (yes, it was an adventure) to Rancho Palos Verdes was definitely unforgettable…

when Joni called me last month and asked me to come and take family photos at her upcoming birthday party, i was so excited! i met Joni last year while doing a mini session with her amazing daughter, Nicole, and her family: Brand Park Family Photo Shoot

Joni said they were getting an oceanfront villa at Terranea Resort, which i thought i had never heard of…Stephen quickly reminded me that we had seen it on Jetsetter way back when and were eager to go 🙂 it’s absolutely gorgeous! it’s located in Rancho Palos Verdes, a place i never even knew existed in SoCal! the drive there was awesome (once we got through the traffic…oh and the poopy diaper explosion). the 47 south takes you through this massive shipping area that reminded me of West Seattle. and there is this amazing bridge (the Vincent Thomas Bridge) that takes you into the city. i felt like i was in San Francisco for a minute 🙂 as you near the resort, you feel like you’re in Indiana Jones because the roads are SO bumpy! anyway, we arrived safely and daddy stayed with Zach while mommy went to work (well, play).

i just love this family! they are some of the funniest, sweetest, most generous people i’ve ever met. i’m just constantly reminded how much i love what i do when i get to meet families like this 🙂 so without further ado, here are some photos from Joni’s Terranea Resort birthday celebration!
