today i’m so excited to share some beautiful photos my amazing students took during my June Confidence workshop!
June’s workshop was held at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Pasadena & we had such an amazing group of women! each of them is in a different stage of their journey with photography…some had never taken their camera off auto mode, while others had been shooting in manual but just weren’t happy with the final images. some were just interested in taking better photos of their kids…others were interested in starting their own business. but they all hit it off and enjoyed a great day together!
as always, i just had a blast teaching these women all about their cameras & how to take better pictures. and it’s always so rewarding to watch the a-ha moments happen! we ended the day with two live photo shoots. we had a beautiful mama & baby boy, and the cutest family ever! the ladies got to practice everything they had learned during the first part of the day, and it was so amazing to watch as they all began to understand the various concepts and capture these awesome moments. THANK YOU to all of our wonderful models for volunteering your time to help these women learn!
Natalie is just getting her business off the ground and had been shooting in Aperture Priority prior to attending the workshop. she is now shooting in manual! here are some of my favorite images she captured during the photo shoot…just breathtaking girl! you rock!!
Meghan came all the way from San Diego, where she is also launching her own photography business, Candid Memories Photography. one of the first things i noticed about Meghan’s photography, that i absolutely love, is the attention to detail! she isn’t afraid to get close, and she captured some gorgeous moments during the photo shoot…
Kelli & Karleigh were our first mother/daughter duo, and i could not have been more proud of them! when i was first contacted by Kelli, she shared her long-time passion for photography and how moved she was by my workshop video. her email brought me to tears, and i just knew she was supposed to be there. she shared that her daughter was also interested in photography, and i was SO excited when i found out that Karleigh was going to be able to attend as well. both of them came in barely knowing how to work their cameras, and both of them left shooting in manual! did i mention how proud i am of you guys?!! (i’ll be sharing some photos from them soon!)
