it was a classic story of boy meets girl…while at a work conference 🙂 Jay tells the story of seeing her in the brochure that was handed out, and being drawn to her beautiful smile. Gina loves to share about how they purposely avoided each other, even though there was definitely chemistry there that week. but on the last night of the conference, there was a party. and, Jay, being the romantic that he is, requested a slow song…and then asked Gina to dance. a co-worker snapped a photo of the two of them together that night, and they seriously look as if they had been together for years! the next weekend, they were inseparable…over the phone that is. Gina was in Colorado, and Jay was in Ohio. they talked for 9 hours straight over the phone though…literally! shortly after that, he went out to Colorado to visit her, and they looked at rings the next day. Jay proposed in February, just one year after the night they met. he recreated that serendipitous first dance and everything. way to go, man!
Stephen and i had the amazing honor of traveling to Denver, CO recently to capture Gina & Jay’s special day! words can’t describe how lucky i felt to witness the adorableness (is that even a word?) between these two.
they got married in the beautiful Manor House in Littleton, CO.
Gina, you looked absolutely stunning! just breathtaking. Jay, you cleaned up pretty good, too 🙂
there is a beautiful story behind this necklace that Gina wore & there was a special moment shared between Jay’s sister, Joy, and Gina when they found a way to privately remember Jay’s mom who passed away almost two years ago.
Gina’s gorgeous smile and laugh is contagious…and there was a lot of that going on the whole day! i just love it.
Gina & Jay chose to do a First Look, which we always LOVE!
check out the view of the Denver skyline from their ceremony site…AMAZING!
here comes the bride! and did i mention Zach made a guest appearance as the ring bearer…my handsome boy!
i love this photo Stephen captured…not only because of the look on Jay’s face as he sees his bride walking down the aisle, but because of the look on Jay’s daughter’s face to the right haha! she kept making faces at Gina to help her not cry. so adorable!
this was probably one of my favorite moments…Jay’s daughter and Gina’s brother were singing a beautiful song while they did their unity symbol and the rocks were SO loud that they couldn’t help but laugh hysterically!
first dance…
and an awesome streamer send-off at the end of the night…
and here’s a sneak peek of their day after session at Red Rocks! more coming soon!
love you guys! congratulations again & hope to see you soon!
