i’m so excited to share some of my favorites from Jacqueline & Cheyenne’s beautiful Big Bear Wedding at Whispering Pines!
but first…since i had a lot to say for their engagement post, i decided to let the bride and groom talk this time 🙂
i asked each of them to share their favorite moment from their wedding day. their responses gave me goosebumps as i relived the amazing day…
From the Bride…The most memorable moment of our wedding was at the very beginning of the ceremony. After a morning filled with thunder, lightning and scattered showers (accompanied by many episodes of down pouring rain), my dad and I were standing inside the estate and waiting to walk down the aisle. Through the stained glass of the French door, I caught the first glimpse of sunlight I’d seen in several hours. The door opened, and my dad and I stepped out into sunshine. After a morning that contained several moments of fighting back tears due to the rain, I was overwhelmed with joy. We kept on walking towards the aisle, and I turn the corner to see the love of my life standing at the altar waiting for me, practically glowing from the sun shining down upon him. I will never forget the indescribable feeling of walking down the aisle to my best friend, the man of my dreams…standing there with the sunlight upon him, waiting for me and for the start of the rest of our lives.
From the Groom…It was such a hectic morning that day. I remember thinking, I hope everything is perfect…I hope everybody has a good time…and most importantly, I hope that my best friend and soon to be wife is happy! Then it started, the kids and I hurried to our spots and my mind was still racing. The music changed and I looked down at the wet grass and took a deep breath. When I lifted my head, my heart stopped beating and I froze in place. Walking out on her daddy’s arm was the most beautiful, the most graceful, the most loving and the most God obeying woman I’ve ever seen or known. I suddenly got dizzy because in those few moments I had forgotten to breathe. I took another breath and caught her gaze, her eyes pierced my sole, suddenly everything slowed down as God reaffirmed that this was my angel. This was the woman he had promised to me. This is the woman I will grow old with! I love you so much, Jackie!!
Jackie and Cheyenne opted not to see each other before the ceremony, but they had a beautiful moment where both of their families prayed together and they were able to hold hands…
congratulations again you two!! i couldn’t be more happy for you!
