happy Monday and welcome to a preview of Mike & Mandy’s awesome Serendipity Oak Glen Wedding!
i introduced you to this gorgeous couple a year ago on the blog, when we did their engagement session in Laguna Beach…and now they are married!
i can’t believe how fast that year went by you two, but i’m so excited to officially congratulate you here and share some of my favorites from your special day! you two are such beautiful people, inside and out. and we are so thankful that we had the honor of sharing your special day with you.
one of my favorite parts about the blog is asking the couple about their favorite part of the day. i asked Mike & Mandy to each share their favorite moment from the day, and here is what they said 🙂
from the bride…So, my favorite moment on our wedding day was when Lisa and Jessica were holding my dress to help me walk to Mike for our first look. I remember walking faster as soon as I saw him and saying to them, “I just want to run to him!” I told them to drop my dress and Jess said, “Are you sure? It’ll get all dirty.” I just remember saying, “I don’t care, drop it.” and off I went. I kinda ran (with steady feet and remembered to slow down before I ate it). When I got closer and you were taking pictures of me, I remember looking at you with a warm heart. You and Stephen. And when you said, “ok!” I took a deep breath, patted his right shoulder, and he took my breath away. An overcoming feeling of love. I couldn’t wait to say, “I do.”
from the groom…The one moment that really stuck out to me was when Amanda walked down the aisle. It was at that moment I knew this was the only girl I wanted to spend my life with. It felt as if I was in a dream. Everything was blurred out except for her. I cannot remember anything else that was going on at the very moment. If I could have one moment replay over and over again, it would be that one!
and now for some of my faves from the day!
can i just say, this girl knew how to do details! from her shoes to her earrings to her garter…everything was stunning.
Thor stayed right by his mama all day long! and he was an excellent ring bearer, too…
the wedding was held at Serendipity in Oak Glen and the venue was gorgeous! and once again, Mandy killed it with all of the amazing details…
Mandy chose to do a First Look with her dad and brothers before seeing Mike for the first time…it was such a special moment!
then, she made her way down to see her man!! the First Look is always one of my favorite parts of the day. all of the stress melts away as the bride & groom see each other and get to share a quiet moment to themselves before everyone else wants to see them 🙂

Tears…this brought such happy tears! Once again Jess & Stephen, you have truly captured the essence of the love that day, and of the love the couple truly has for each other. I’m so fortunate and blessed to know Mike & Mandy and their wedding day was extremely special.
