It’s not very often that Stephen and I show up to photograph a wedding where we have never met the bride and/or groom. We typically like getting to know our couples ahead of time so that we feel like friends when we show up at their wedding. We believe that this helps us capture their story better, and at the same time it helps them feel more comfortable with us. I say all of that to say that we met Jessica and Tony the day before their wedding, and we just adored them immediately! We could not be more grateful that our paths crossed with these two, or feel more honored to capture such a beautiful, pure and strong love.
Jessica & Tony are from Miami, Florida, where they were planning on having an elaborate celebration with their family & friends. As they started planning the details of their celebration, they realized that they could use that money to buy a home and start a life together. And we couldn’t admire them more for that decision! So, they did what every other couple in their shoes would do and they planned an elopement around the Beyonce & Jay Z concert at the Rose Bowl 🙂
They are both huge fans of Beyonce and Jay Z, and they weren’t able to make it to the show in their hometown because Tony was traveling for work. They decided on a Santa Monica wedding, followed by an amazing few days in Big Sur, and ended their time in CA with the concert.
Jessica is the Marketing Manager at a spa & beauty supply company, but her passion is yoga! She also works part-time as a yoga instructor & Tony is a lawyer for Harley Davidson.
I’m so excited to share some our favorites from this beautiful couple’s Santa Monica Elopement!
We met up with Jessica & Tony the day before their wedding for a little engagement session at Griffith Observatory…
Jessica & Tony even got to have a first dance, thanks to a wonderful street performer 🙂
Before having some fun on the pier, we headed to Tongva Park for some more photos…
I got to have some fun with the stunning bride!
While Stephen hung out with this handsome guy…
These two LOVE all things fairs & carnivals, from the corn dogs to the ferris wheels, so we had to capture some of that fun!
Congratulations again you guys! Thank you so much for including us in such a special day. We wish you both the best and hope our paths cross again soon!!
