February 10-on-10

Hey guys!

Welcome to my first 10-on-10 post! Some friends started this about a year ago and invited me to join this month. I’ve been wanting to participate for a while, so I was stoked to join them.

We take 10 photos throughout our day on the 10th of every month, so you can get to know us a little better. My first go at this was on a pretty boring, ordinary day. But that was good because it made it a little challenging!

My day started with my 2 year old alarm clock at 6am. This little guy comes in as early as 4:45am sometimes, so 6am was a treat! It’s really hard to get annoyed though, no matter how early it is, because he is so sweet. He walks into our room, goes to my side of the bed, gently wakes me up, then climbs into bed next to me. He usually says “good morning” or “sleep well?” or “miss you”. And then smothers me with hugs & kisses. Best way to wake up ever.

We head upstairs where I start my day with a cup of coffee. This is our post-baby coffee maker. We used to use a French press every morning pre-Zach πŸ™‚

Then, it’s play time! Zach is all about his cars & trains lately. Well, that and Mickey Mouse.

Today is laundry day! This is the easy part. I don’t even mind folding clothes, but I hate having to put everything away haha.

11am(ish) is nap time…which means mommy tries to squeeze some work in. Stephen and I are presenting at Photographers Ignite at WPPI this year, so I’m finishing up our presentation outline.

Lunch with Zach. His last 2 year molar is coming in so he wasn’t feeling great today, which meant he didn’t eat much, and he definitely wasn’t excited about me taking a picture of him eating.

Our amazing babysitter, Amy, comes on Mondays to watch Zach in the afternoon, so that Stephen and I can work.Β Our Photographers Ignite presentation slides are due today, so this afternoon was focused on completing those.

Β An afternoon snack…479Β° Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn. One of my faves!

Presentation slides submitted! Amy has gone home. We take a break to put Zach to bed, before eating a late dinner and getting back to work.
