Happy New Year!

new year’s resolution #1 – post blogs before 9pm.  oops =)

happy new year!  i know i might sound weird, but i am so glad to be back to my normal routine.  it was nice to sleep in and spend so much time with family, but after a week i was ready to get back to work!  i think that just shows how much i love what i do, because i know i didn’t feel that way last year…or the year before =)  but i feel like my life has more purpose now that i’m passionate about what i’m doing.  it’s a nice feeling!

Stephen and i had such a great Christmas & New Years.  we laughed so hard we cried.  we caught up on almost all of the movies we had been wanting to see.  from one of the best movies i’ve seen lately, “The King’s Speech,” to one of the worst movies i’ve ever seen, “How Do You Know.”  and we read…a lot!  if you want a good book recommendation, check out Modoc.  a friend recommended it to me and i just loved it.  we got to spend quality time with both of our families.  it was a blast.

here are some highlights from the last week and a half…

there is a caroling truck that comes through my parent’s neighborhood every year…it’s pretty awesome! and it definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit.

Santa was even there!

although this one is probably my favorite!  my mom accidentally switched our Christmas cards…in her defense, they looked very similar and she wrote them at 1am =)

note: in case you didn’t know, my sister is NOT married.

Stephen’s parents arrived from Texas the day after Christmas!  we immediately headed up to Lake Arrowhead that night for some chill time =)

it was so cool to wake up to snow the next morning!  but, most importantly, we taught them how to play poker =)

which brings me to our New Years Eve poker tournament!

New Years Eve Toluca Lake

we headed back to my folks in LA and rang in the New Year with some awesome friends!  food, games & lots of fun…

and the Robertsons actually won for once =)  yay us!

we had so many awesome memories this holiday season.  i am so blessed and thankful for my awesome family.  i hope you all had some wonderful memories with friends and family!  i am so excited for everything that 2011 has in store and wish you all the best this year!

xoxo
