happy Friday! hope you all had an awesome week and have a relaxing weekend ahead. i have 2 weddings back to back this weekend, so i’ll be sure to share those with you all next week! but first, part 2 of last weekends’ Holiday Mini Sessions.
we ended our Holiday Mini Sessions in Pasadena with another very special family 🙂 in order to properly introduce them, i’m going to start with a little background on me, for those that don’t know me…
way before i started my photography business, i actually worked in the entertainment industry. initially, i wanted to be an actress. but as i became older (and way more self-conscious), i decided i wanted to write, produce & direct instead. i enjoyed working quite a few different jobs in LA, from a research assistant at Universal to doing music clearance & licensing at Warner Bros. after almost 7 years, however, i changed my mind again 🙂 there are still parts of the industry that are definitely appealing to me, but i just didn’t like the path i was on. so i went to Europe.
i spent 3 months backpacking across Europe with a friend, and it was actually there that i first fell in love with photography. when i returned home, i was ready for a change, but wasn’t sure where to start. after all, i did have bills to pay and all that fun stuff. so, i started babysitting again since i have always loved kids. one babysitting job after another eventually turned into a nanny job, and that is where i met this awesome family!
Ryan was two years old, and Katie had just been born when i started. needless to say, they’ve definitely changed a lot since then, but they’re both still as cute as ever!
they had a lot of fun coming up with their own ideas for poses…

i’m so thankful for Jill and Alain for staying in touch…it’s been so amazing to watch the two kids grow up! love you guys!

Jesss, this is Katie (4.5 yrs old) wanting to tell you something:
“xoxo Jessica and we had fun in cityhall, and thank you for inviting us there. And do you want to sleep over at our house one day? And you’re the best! Jessica, come to our house on Halloween, mommy once hid our bag of candy because she did not want us to eat so much candy. ”
Jess this is Ryan (6.5 yrs old):
“xoxo Jessica, hope you will visit us soon! Could you babysit us one more time when my mom and dad are out? Could you go to montrose street because I want to see you on Halloween. What kind of costume do you have?”
Alain again: lol, sorry they insisted on my writing everything they said verbatim.
