80 beautiful candles, amazing food & a wonderful photo book of memories. these things only touch the surface of the awesome 80th birthday celebration for Frances that Stephen and i had the honor of photographing last Saturday.
the location could not have been more perfect: Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, CA. and the day could not have been more gorgeous.
the details were so exquisite. you could tell how much thought was put into everything!
but it was honestly all of the little moments that made it so wonderful.

games of red light, green light and duck, duck, goose…
witnessing the love between all of the family members, both spoken and unspoken.
watching as everyone oohed and aahed over the very 1st great grandchild, Curran.
it was one of those days where Stephen and i both left talking about the moments we loved and thinking about our own families.
