for today’s FFF, i actually wanted to throw a question out there for all of you photographers reading!
one of the things that i’ve had to deal with on a few occasions is clients asking what happened to certain photos that they remember taking. during an average session, we might shoot at a handful of different settings in the location we’re in. and within each setting, we’re trying a handful of different poses in order to get the best shot. well, as you all know, some poses don’t work. and for that matter, some settings don’t work. the lighting might not be flattering, or the angle itself might not be flattering. either way, i am pretty picky when it comes to choosing the final images. and i want to be sensitive, but honest, in my response to them.
so, back to my question, have you ever received a call or email from a client asking about what happened to certain photos that weren’t included in their final images. if so, how did you respond?
i don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer, and i think we may even tailor our response depending on the client. but i would just love to hear your feedback! thanks so much!
