a received a call from Lori a few months back. she had been referred to me by our awesome family friend (who also happens to be a wonderful massage therapist!). they were needing to do a big family photo last minute with all of the generations before one of the kids moved out of state that weekend. in the end, it didn’t work out for us to be able to take the photo but she still wanted to do a session with just her family. flash forward to last weekend where i finally got to meet all of them!
Lori & Kinsey have 3 beautiful kids – Becca, Gavin & the youngest, Kamryn.
i knew i liked Lori immediately when i saw her kids’ names =) they are some of my faves! we even have Kamryn picked out as one of our possible girl names!
anyway, we met at Red Hill Park in Rancho Cucamonga. they have a lot of pretty trees, a playground, and a cool little pond with ducks…and turtles, apparently! i had never seen a pond with turtles.
Kamryn really wasn’t feeling like having her picture taken so we tried one of our diversion tactics…otherwise known as ask mom and dad to go away =) or, in this case, have Stephen take photos of mom and dad, while i take the kids somewhere else.
it worked beautifully! Kamryn was talking and telling me all of the sounds that the different animals make in no time. isn’t she precious?
after a few minutes of cooperation, Kamryn was done taking photos again, so we made our way up to the playground to play! these ended up being some of my favorite shots, because i really enjoy being the quiet observer more than telling people how to pose.
i loved watching the siblings interact with each other. Becca was so great with both of them. it made me miss the days of when my little brother and sister were….well, little =)
